Felicity Hader trained in Sydney with Tanya Pearson OAM, Marilyn Jones OBE, Amanda Clerke and Chambers de Maria Academy.

Upon graduation from the Tanya Pearson Academy, Felicity was awarded a Scholarship to the prestigious Munich Ballet Academy where she was taught by famous Ballerinas Olga Lepeshinskaya from the Bolshoi Ballet and Nora Shelesnova from the Kirov Ballet. Felicity was the youngest to graduate from the Munich Ballet Academy and the youngest ever to gain a full contract with the Bavarian National Ballet, Munich. Her first lead role at 16 years was Flower Festival from Genzano (Bournonville) coached by Dina Bjorn of the Royal Danish Ballet. Felicity went on to perform lead roles in Balanchine’s Symphony in C, Sir Peter Wright’s Sleeping Beauty and Jiri Kylian’s Svadebka.

Felicity has had roles created for her by Peter Martins, Twyla Tharp, Mats Ek, Lucinda Childs, Angelin Prejlocaj and John Neumeier. Her repertoire includes e.g. Odette/Odile, Swan Lake, Kitri/Don Q, Titania/Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Firebird, Giselle, Cinderella, Carmen, Coppelia, Nutcracker, Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet and leads in Kylian’s and Hans van Manen’s modern ballets.

During Felicity’s 25 year career, her awards have included Dancer of the Year, Publikum’s Liebling Award (Audience Favourite Award) and International Critic’s Award and Lifetime Achievement Award for her artistry as a dancer, actress and choreographer, awarded by the German Government.

Felicity has been Guest Artist at Leading Companies and danced at International Ballet Galasin Europe, USA, Beijing and Scandinavia. Her own successful choreographies have included Charade, Frankie and Johnny, Eine Nacht in Venedig, Homage to Nijinsky, Postcard from Buenos Aires and Anton a children’s ballet.

Completing her Post Graduate Professional Dancer’s Pedagogue Course through RAD Berlin and London, Felicity continued to dance in lead roles such as Titania in Midsummer Night’s Dream and in her own choreographies.

Felicity has recently returned to Sydney to live and is enjoying teaching, choreographing, coaching, adjudicating and bringing up her baby girl Alessandra.She joined the TPA teaching faculty in 2018.
