Medhi Angot is an internationally accomplished dancer and coach whose career spans major European and Australasian companies. Known for his precision, versatility and deeply informed classical technique, Medhi brings a wealth of professional experience and refined coaching expertise to the Tanya Pearson Academy.

Born in France, Medhi received his formative training at the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet School. At just seventeen, he began his professional career with the English National Ballet in London, quickly distinguishing himself as a soloist in many of the company’s celebrated productions. His strong classical foundation and expressive performance quality led him to the Royal New Zealand Ballet, where he danced principal roles over a five-year tenure and developed a reputation for both technical command and artistic range.

In 2013, Medhi returned to France to join the Nice Opera Ballet as a Principal Dancer. During this period, he broadened his repertoire across classical, neoclassical and contemporary works, collaborating with leading choreographers and performing throughout Europe. His artistry, musical sensitivity and disciplined approach to role preparation became hallmarks of his performing career.

In 2021, Medhi transitioned into full-time pedagogy, joining the New Zealand School of Dance as a permanent Classical Tutor. His teaching is grounded in the French and English traditions while incorporating contemporary knowledge of dancer development, technique and performance craft.

Since 2023, Medhi has established himself as a highly sought-after freelance ballet coach and consultant. He prepares students for major international competitions including the Prix de Lausanne and Youth America Grand Prix, and continues to teach as a guest coach for the Royal New Zealand Ballet and professional schools across Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

As a Guest Artist-in-Residence at the Tanya Pearson Academy, Medhi brings exceptional professional insight, refined technique, and a passion for nurturing the next generation of dancers. His coaching provides students with rare access to international standards of training, artistry and professional preparation.
