Today, on International Mentoring Day, we at Tanya Pearson Academy would like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge our incredible TPA teachers, who are such valuable mentors to our students. Your unwavering dedication, passion, and belief in our dancers help shape their journeys, inspiring them to dream big and reach new heights.

Reflecting on our own dance journeys, we are deeply grateful for the extraordinary mentors and teachers who guided us along the way. They not only nurtured our love for dance but also instilled a belief in ourselves that continues to fuel us as passionate dance educators today.

It is our mission to inspire and guide the next generation of dancers to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams fearlessly. 🌟 Exciting News at Tanya Pearson Academy! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce that Ako Kondo and Chengwu Guo, Principal Artists of The Australian Ballet, are joining our Full-Time Faculty at Tanya Pearson Academy as exclusive Guest Teachers during their Sydney seasons!

This is an incredible opportunity for our students to learn directly from two of the most celebrated ballet artists in the world. As dancers at the pinnacle of their careers, their expertise, artistry, and professional insight will further enrich the professional training we provide at TPA, inspiring the next generation of elite dancers.

At Tanya Pearson Academy, we are proud of our exceptional and passionate faculty who are dedicated to nurturing talent and helping students achieve their fullest potential. As very talented mentors, Ako and Chengwu will be a wonderful addition to our team.

We are also very proud to announce an official partnership with their successful coaching platform, Chengwu Guo Ballet: www.chengwuguoballet.com.au Through this collaboration, Ako and Chengwu will offer Classical Ballet Coaching for young artists and adults, as well as Ballet Workshops on Sundays during their visits to our Tanya Pearson Arts Centre. These additional workshops will be open to both TPA students and external ballet students.

We are delighted to create this unique collaboration with such exceptional industry professionals as a reflection of our dedication to providing world-class education and unparalleled opportunities for our students.

We are proud to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of Isabella Jordan, who has reached incredible milestones during her time at Tanya Pearson Academy. Starting as a Part-Time student, Isabella advanced through all levels of training and graduated at the highest level as a Pre-Professional student in our Elite Full-Time Training Program, demonstrating exceptional commitment and talent.

Isabella’s accomplishments include receiving the prestigious Solo Seal Award from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), recognising her exceptional artistry, technical ability, and performance. She also represented Australia as a semi-finalist at the 2024 RAD Fonteyn International Ballet Competition, showcasing her talent on the international stage.

A highlight of Isabella’s achievements in 2025 is her contract as a trainee with the renowned Victorian State Ballet Company, marking an exciting beginning to her professional career in dance. This achievement reflects her hard work, artistry, and the professional training she received at Tanya Pearson Academy.

Isabella’s journey exemplifies the values we hold at Tanya Pearson Academy—dedication, passion, and excellence. We are excited to celebrate her achievements and wish her the very best as she embarks on this new chapter in her career.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated Principal, Emma-Jane Morton, whose exceptional guidance has led all three TPA Solo Seal candidates to achieve the prestigious Solo Seal Award—the highest level of recognition by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).
This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to the extraordinary talent and dedication of our students and the world-class training at Tanya Pearson Academy.

Adding to her success, Milania was recently featured in the Sydney Morning Herald for becoming dux of Mount St Benedict College, achieving an incredible 98.50 ATAR in her HSC. Wishing all our TPA families a Happy New Year and fabulous start to 2025!

This year has been full of amazing moments for TPA, and both the part-time and full-time students have accomplished wonderful achievements in 2024.

It was magnificent to see the dancers shine onstage throughout the year and perform to such a high professional standard in the Sydney Eisteddfod Gala at the Opera House, Adult Ballet Performances, The Little Mermaid production and the full Nutcracker season!
In 2024, we were also impressed by the students’ wonderful performances and achievements in eisteddfods, competitions, assessments and exams. Congratulations to all TPA students!

We are so proud of the dedication, commitment, hard work and passion that our dancers displayed this year!

A big thank you to our amazing TPA team who provided a wonderful education and supported all TPA students this year. We look forward to an exciting 2025 working with our wonderful team of beautiful educators and members of staff who are passionate to nurture the love of dance and to making the experience at TPA a special one. We appreciate your expertise, care and dedication in training a new generation of dancers and the shared vision in providing the best experience and opportunities in dance education.

We are very proud of this year’s graduates who successfully secured a place in company schools and companies to further their careers. We wish them all success as they start their exciting new chapters in professional dance.

Sensational Ako Kondo and Chengwu Guo, of The Australian Ballet, Superb Jemima Scott and Zacharie Dun of the New Zealand Ballet and stunning and accomplished TPA graduates Janae Kerr and Cameron Holmes of The Australian Ballet who all delighted and thrilled the audience! A special thanks to all of these guest artists for their sensational performances which were very inspiring for our young artists.

To our amazing students, dedicated teachers, hardworking staff, talented guest artists, and supportive families—this weekend is a celebration of the incredible effort, passion, and care you have brought to The Nutcracker.

Every rehearsal, every detail behind the scenes, and every moment of teamwork has come together to create something truly special. We are so grateful for the dedication and energy each of you has contributed to making this production a reality.

We are delighted to announce that Josef Brown will be joining us in this year’s production of The Nutcracker, performing the captivating role of Drosselmeyer!

A former Soloist with The Australian Ballet, Josef’s illustrious career has taken him from the stages of Modern Dans Topluluguu in Ankara and Sydney Dance Company to acclaimed musical theatre roles, including the iconic Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story on Stage. His versatility extends to screen, with memorable appearances in Dance Academy, Spartacus – Gods of the Arena, Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries, and Neighbours. Beyond performance, Josef has contributed as a writer, producer, choreographer, and arts advocate, leaving his mark on the dance and arts community both on and off the stage.

Drawing on a rich and diverse career across dance, theatre, and screen, Josef brings remarkable depth, charisma, and artistry to his portrayal of Drosselmeyer. We’re looking forward to sharing his captivating performance with you this holiday season. 🎄🎶

We are incredibly proud of our Full-Time students who performed beautifully at the Royal North Shore Hospital, presenting a variety of dance pieces, including excerpts from our upcoming production of The Nutcracker. Their performance brought joy and a touch of Christmas spirit to patients and staff alike.

This occasion was particularly meaningful, as one of our students, Ella, received care at RNSH earlier this year for a serious knee injury. Her return to dance and performance for those who supported her recovery was both heart-warming and inspiring.

We extend our heartfelt thank you to our students for their generosity in performing for our local community and to our teachers for their guidance and support.

🎓 Levels: Primary to Grade 5 (RAD or equivalent)

We welcome all students from Primary Level through to Grade 5 to join our fun-filled and exciting workshops!

Our fabulous performers are to be congratulated for the passion and stage craft that made their roles come to life on stage. They delighted the audiences, and their love of dance and infectious energy were expressed in every show! We congratulate all our amazing students on their outstanding performances! We are so proud of each and every one of you.
A huge thank you to our wonderful Part-time Academy Principal Emma-Jane Morton for her dedication, care, and incredible work involved in pulling this production together!
Our fabulous teaching faculty once again showed their dedication and expertise in preparing, choreographing and staging the dancers so they can perform at their best!
Thank you to Hanna for her wonderful work in costume management, and organisation. A huge amount of stunning costumes were prepared for this production!

Biography:
Born into a dance family in Vienna, Rainer Krenstetter trained at the Ballet School of the Vienna State Opera, later joining the Royal Ballet School in London. His career includes Principal Dancer roles at Staatsballett Berlin and Miami City Ballet, with notable performances in ballets such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Romeo and Juliet. Currently, he serves as Artistic Director of Company Unblanche (Tokyo) and Associate Artistic Director at the Margot Fonteyn Academy. Krenstetter has won awards including the Prix de Lausanne and the Fonteyn Legacy Centenary Award.
